Joined OMISS
I joined OMISS today!
A friend invited me, via discord, to a NET on 14.308 USB. Folks were very patient with my fumbling with my radio. I was not used to phone conversations and had trouble transmitting. Blush! After some frantic RTFM I had two brief QSOs just after the NET wrapped and received the two references required to join.
OMISS (Organization of Modern International SSB'ers) has been around since 1976 and focuses on promoting SSB operation on the HF bands. They have regular nets on multiple bands, which is great for working different propagation conditions.
Looking forward to checking in more often and working some new friends on the air.
